Call to reverse decision to scrap free TV licenses

A local MSP’s called the decision to get rid of free TV licences for over 75s “misguided”.
Clacks and Dunblane’s Keith Brown has called on the UK Government to re-think the move.
Mr Brown says it’ll add £154 to household bills in the Forth Valley and beyond:
“The decision of the Tory UK Government to axe the free over-75 TV licence is one of their most punitive and cruel attacks on Scottish pensioners.
“Over-75s living in the communities of Clackmannanshire, Bridge of Allan and Dunblane in my constituency will now be £154 worse off than they should be as a result of this decision.
“We know that older people face issues of social isolation and loneliness and can be particularly vulnerable to them – removing free TV licences will do nothing to help this.
