It’s hoped an event in Grangemouth next month will encourage more disabled people to take up sport.
The “Get Out Get Active” project is aiming to offer disabled people a wide range of accessible sports.
They’re hosting a multi-sport taster session on 26th October at Grangemouth Sports Complex.
Graham Harvey, Branch Co-ordinator at Forth Valley Disability Sport, said: “We are hosting a Multi- Sport event where residents can come and have fun, meet new people and try out inclusive activities like walking basketball, board games, bowls, karate, curling, boccia, racket sports and more. The event is open to anyone over the age of 16, including people with a with disabilities to try out these fun and inclusive activities at low cost. It is also a great opportunity for residents looking to support people with a disability to get more active to find out more about our volunteering opportunities.”
