Forth Valley groups receive lottery funding

Written by on July 14, 2021

A group, supporting people in Falkirk recovering from addiction, has been given £9,500 in lottery funding.

Fire & Peace Recovery takes people on camping trips across Scotland.

It’s the first time they’ve ever received lottery funding.

Other local groups to receive funding today are:

Clackmannan Bowling Club – £10,000 – The group will use the funding to carry out improvement works to their clubhouse building which is used by several community groups.

Clackmannanshire Third Sector Interface Ltd – £10,000 – The group will use the funding to continue and expand the digital devices and IT support they offer to digitally excluded members of their community.

Relationships Scotland – Couple Counselling Central Scotland – £10,000 – This project will allow the group to deliver online counselling therapy sessions to individuals, couples, families and young people experiencing difficulties in mental health and wellbeing as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Balfron Community Council – £6,000 – The group will use the funding to restore a community owned phone box that is currently serving as a food exchange box.

Balquhidder Village Hall, Stirling – £10,000 – The group will use the funding to carry out improvements to their public hall.

Fintry Community Bowling Club – £9,330 – The group will use the funding to carry out improvements to a former bowling club clubhouse to enable it to be used as a community space.
