Winter Safe
Central FM, Police Scotland and Bruce Taxis are delighted to work in partnership to bring back the Winter Safe Journey campaign.
The aim of the campaign is to make the roads across the Forth Valley safer for all of us in the future.
From the 1st December through to 5th January, we will be reminding drivers to take extra care on the roads this winter and asking them to check that their cars are winter ready for the weather conditions.
We will remind drivers about safe driving practices; we will have a series of different messages running covering everything from getting your car winter ready, driving to the road conditions, being responsible and committing to not drink driving EVER.
We need you to make your pledge to NEVER drink and drive. We’re asking you to be safe and don’t risk drink driving this festive season. Don’t risk it, book your taxi early so that you are not tempted to drink and and drive. It’s not just about the night of your festive party but you can still be over the limit in the morning. More people can be caught drink driving in the morning as they are still over the limit from the night before.
Forth Valley Police Division Road Traffic Officers will be out in force this festive season and will catch you if you risk it.
DON’T RISK IT THIS FESTIVE SEASON
TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE OUR ROADS SAFER THIS FESTIVE SEASON
If you risk it this festive season, it’s not only your own life you’re putting at risk but others around you. Imagine waking up in a police cell and finding out that you drove the night before and killed someone, it’s not only that person’s life you have destroyed but their family and your own family’s life will be destroyed.
THIS WINTER WE’RE ASKING YOU TO STOP AND THINK. DON’T SPEED, DRIVE TO THE ROAD CONDITIONS AND REMEMBER NEVER DRINK AND DRIVE.
This campaign is brought to you with Central FM, Police Scotland Bruce Taxis.
