£1 million Stirling drugs raid

Police have seized £1 million worth of cannabis from a home in Stirling.

Officers raided a property on Forth Street on Tuesday.

Two men, aged 24 and 29, appeared at Stirling Sheriff Court yesterday.

1400 cannabis plants were recovered.

Detective Superintendent Brian Geddes said: “This recovery sends a clear message that we will not tolerate illegal drugs in our communities. Our officers are determined to protect the public from this harmful criminality by disrupting the cultivation and sale of illegal substances, preventing them being circulated in our local areas and addressing the concerns of local people.”

Chief Inspector Kat Thompson: “Tackling drugs remains one of our top priorities and this operation highlights our commitment to eradicating them from our communities. We will use all available tools to combat this activity, but we cannot do it alone. We rely on the support and cooperation from the public and we encourage anyone with information or concerns about drugs to get in touch with us.”
