"Anger" over Clackmannanshire building demolition

Clackmannanshire Council say they will work with police, after a historic local building was knocked down.

Carsebridge House was demolished last month by owners Advance Construction.

Their application to knock down the building had not yet been approved.

The local authority passed a motion today, expressing "anger" at the move.

The Motion was brought by Councillor Graham Lindsay.

He says: “This building was of significant historical and architectural interest locally and nationally”.

“While I appreciate that the building was in a poor condition following the devastating fire, and an application to demolish had been submitted, the demolition work last month was carried out without consent of this Council. Those responsible should be held fully to account.”
