Arrests after Stirling fire

Two teenagers have been arrested after a fire at a historic building in Stirling.

Emergency crews were called to Langgarth House on St.Ninian's Road at around 5:50pm on Saturday.

Nobody was injured in the incident.

A number of local roads were closed after the fire - with six fire crews called to the scene.

Police say they're treating the blaze as "wilful".

A Police Scotland statement said:

"Two male youths, both aged 16, have been arrested in connection with a fire in Stirling.

Around 5.50pm on Saturday, 30 March, 2024, emergency services were called to a fire at an abandoned building on St Ninian’s Road.

No-one was injured and extensive enquiries into the incident are ongoing.

Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious around the time of the fire or has any information is urged to contact police via 101, quoting incident 2951 of 30 March."
