A local group has been awarded nearly £200,000 in lottery funding as they support people affected by sexual violence.
Forth Valley Rape Crisis Centre provide one-to-one support.
It's hoped 125 survivors could receive the help over the next three years.
They've received the cash boost from the National Lottery.
Angela Barron, CEO, Forth Valley Rape Crisis Centre, said: “Continuity and consistency is incredibly important as we often support survivors of sexual violence for three to four months, or even longer if they’re also engaged with the criminal justice system. This funding safeguards two support worker posts, allowing us to continue our support to survivors of sexual violence in Forth Valley, aged 13 or over and of any gender.
“One of the posts specialises in supporting young people, whilst the other is part of our adult service. Survivors frequently tell us that our work is both lifesaving and life-changing; so, thank you to players of The National Lottery for supporting its continuation.”
