Rise in Falkirk parking fine revenue

Data shows an increase in the amount of money made by Falkirk Council from parking fines.

There's been a 37% rise in the amount of money the local authority has raised from parking tickets.

Data from a Freedom of Information request by Central FM News shows Falkirk Council generated more than £170,000 in parking fines between 1st July 2022, and the end of June this year.

That's up from just under £125,000 in the previous twelve months.

Parking attendants currently issue a £60 fine to anyone breaking parking rules.

That's reduced to £30 if paid within 14 days.
