Work to repair a slip road on the M80 has now finished.
The road leaving the northbound road at Junction 9 is now open - after four weeks of overnight repairs.
Work has been carried out to repair a dip in the road surface.
The slip road was closed for safety on 28 June, as a result of significant subsidence in the carriageway.
Since August, traffic had been using a temporary link road that was constructed to bypass the area where subsidence occurred.
Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South East Network Manager, said: “Works to repair subsidence and reinstate the slip road have progressed well and we’re pleased to have reopened the road on schedule before Christmas.
“The speed limit on the M80 is now back to normal and Police Scotland’s average speed cameras will be removed within the next few days. Temporary reduced speed limits had been required for safety due to tighter than normal bends in the temporary link road.
“Our thanks go to road users and local businesses for their patience and understanding while we investigated and resolved this issue.”
