Public consultation on plans to reduce school summer holidays
Written by centralfmnews on January 8, 2020
People across the Forth Valley will be asked to give their views on plans to reduce the school summer holidays.
Falkirk, Stirling and Clackmannanshire Councils are set to undertake public consultations – which would cut the current break from seven weeks to six.
In return, youngsters would be given an extra week’s holiday in October instead.
The academic year would start in the second week of August under the plans.
The survey will run from this Friday until the 21st February – and is open to pupils, parents and staff.
