He’s joined by Stirling University teammate Ross Murdoch at the event, which is being held at Tollcross International Swimming Centre until Sunday.
Duncan previously had success in the city of his birth, winning his first international medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
He went on to secure a sensational trio of gold medals at last year’s European Championships.
The focus will be on the young man from Alloa, as he continues his preparations for next summer’s Olympic Games in Tokyo.
He said, “To get back on the podium on in Glasgow would be very special to me.
“The last time was at the European Championships in 2018, and to do it again at the LEN European Short Course Swimming Championships would be special.”
Scottish Swimming’s Chief Executive Officer, Euan Lowe, added, “It’s fantastic for Glasgow to be hosting the LEN European Short Course Swimming Championships which is another great opportunity to see some of our top swimmers compete on home turf and rouse the nation into cheering them on at this 5 day competition.”
