Strathcarron Hospice has received more than £285,000 in funding – to help people with long-term conditions.
The hospice has received the cash boost to expand their ‘Compassionate Communities’ project.
It’s hoped the scheme will reduce isolation and improve the quality of life for more than 2,500 people.
Signpost Recovery Clackmannanshire have also been given £100,000, to continue their work helping youngsters affected by a family member’s substance misuse.
The project will provide the children and young people with the necessary coping skills through a range of counselling, social activities and volunteering opportunities.
Home-Start Stirling received more than £51,000.
This group will use the grant to provide support services to families within the community, who are experiencing difficulties from one to one support in the family home, to a parenting skills programme covering topics from budgeting to cooking.
