All schools in Stirling are closed due to strike action.
Members of three trade unions are walking out in a dispute over pay.
Staff in Falkirk will strike on Friday, with Clackmannanshire teachers taking industrial action on February 1st.
National strike days are also planned for the end of next month.
A Stirling Council statement says:
"Stirling Council can confirm that all of its primary schools, secondary schools and Additional Support Needs provisions (including Castleview Nursery) will be closed to pupils on Tuesday 24 January, as a result of industrial action by the Educational Institute of Scotland (EIS), the Association of Head Teachers and Deputes Scotland (AHDS).
Stand-alone nurseries and nursery classes will remain open as normal.
The industrial action is part of a national dispute over pay for teaching staff.
Secondary schools will make individual arrangements for prelims scheduled for this date.
Free school meal provision for entitled pupils will be made in the form of payment on Tuesday 24 January.
All primary schools will reopen as normal on Wednesday 25 January.
Letters have been sent to parents and guardians in advance of the anticipated disruption."
